WHO WE ARE

The Suncoast Chapter of the Florida Master Naturalist Program includes Sarasota and Charlotte counties.

Membership is easy!  Simply complete one or more FMNP modules in one of these counties.  You will automatically be added to our email list and can participate in meetings, events, etc.

Our goal is to cultivate the teamwork and camaraderie forged in the FMNP modules, extending those friendships, partnerships, and networking into continued improvement in our communities.

We support the mission and goals of the Florida Master Naturalist Program. Activities could include, but are not limited to, offering sound environmental stewardship, promoting passive recreation and appreciation of Florida’s natural environment, providing environmental education outreach including wildlife and habitat, and promoting sustainable environmental practices.

WHAT WE DO

We love southwest Florida

We love it here!  Some of us are only here part of the year, some have lived here our entire lives, some are transplants - finding our home in paradise.

A huge part of living anywhere is learning about the plants and animals that we share space with.  Most importantly, we strive to find ways to preserve and nurture this beautiful and wonderful ecosystem.

We are ambassadors of our environment, we seek opportunities to share our passion and appreciation.  The Master Naturalist Program offers numerous ways to learn and get involved in various outreach activities.
